The RACGP constantly strives to engage with its 39,000 members and offer them the best possible services from their college. Events and activities are held throughout the year by state and territory faculties, RACGP expert committees, specific interest networks, and many others.

RACGP Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health

The strong partnership between the RACGP and the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) continued this year, with the launch of the third edition of the National guide to a preventive health assessment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by the Hon Ken Wyatt MP, Minister for Indigenous Health, at Parliament House. Following this success, the Department of Health has agreed to fund further work, in partnership with NACCHO.

RACGP Specific Interests

RACGP Specific Interests members choose to join the faculty based on their clinical or occupational interests. This uniqueness has resulted in remarkable growth, with 1266 new members joining RACGP Specific Interests during 2017–18, bringing the total membership to 5117.
