The RACGP and its 39,000 members are represented at the senior level by the RACGP Council. The President, Chief Executive Officer, Censor-in-Chief, and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee reflect on the college’s achievements throughout 2017–18.
02 RACGP expert committees
The RACGP expert committees (RECs) provide Council with information and advice on issues in general practice, and oversee the implementation of initiatives developed in accordance with the RACGP's strategic plan. The committees support the development of a program of work at the beginning of each triennium in the committees' respective areas of expertise.
03 Member engagement
The RACGP constantly strives to engage with its 39,000 members and offer them the best possible services from their college. Events and activities are held throughout the year by state and territory faculties, RACGP expert committees, specific interest networks, and many others.
04 RACGP awards and GP honours
The RACGP salutes the dedication of GPs across Australia and recognises excellence in general practice, with awards for the year’s best GP, supervisor, registrar, general practice, rural GP, and rural registrar, as well as the Rose-Hunt Award, the RACGP’s highest accolade.
